Square Pie isn't your average pizza joint. It all started with Chef Gene Giuffi, who's got roots in Brooklyn but found his heart in Philly. Two decades ago, he came to the city of brotherly love to run his uncle's pizza spot. He went to culinary school, even opened the award-winning French BYOB spot, Cochon, back in '07.

As time passed, Chef Giuffi couldn't shake his craving for the thick-crust, Sicilian-style pizza of his Brooklyn days. He dreamed up Square Pie, a place that takes that classic Brooklyn-style pizza and tops it with gourmet touches like house-cured sausages and Berkshire pork. And yeah, we've got more than just pizza – appetizers and daily specials that'll blow your taste buds away.

Fast forward to fall 2023, Chef Gene Giuffi decided to kick back and handed over the apron to his right-hand man, Guiliano Lozzi, a South Philly native. Guiliano learned the ropes under Giuffi's guidance before going into restaurant management.
